Jason Frank is currently a Detective Sergeant with the Swansea Police Department and serves the department in several capacities. Sergeant Frank is currently a supervisor with the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis. He is a certified Lead Homicide Investigator with the State of Illinois. He has also earned federal credentials as a Task Force Officer while serving as a Lead Investigator with the United States Secret Service Cyber Crimes Task Force. Sergeant Frank has received extensive training from the United States Secret Service while attending training at the National Computer Forensics Institute in Alabama, including how to forensically conduct data acquisitions from digital devices and external storage devices. Throughout his 20‐year career, Sergeant Frank has been a Patrolman, Investigator, Patrol Sergeant, Emergency Response Team member, K‐9 handler, Field Training Officer, and a member of the St. Clair County Gang Suppression Task Force. Sergeant Frank also served as a Deputy Commander with the Southern Illinois Child Death Investigation Task Force. During his time as a Patrol Sergeant, his team seized the most guns, drugs, and conducted the most DUI traffic stops in the department. He received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Quincy University (2000) and graduated from the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana‐Champaign (2005). Prior to joining the Swansea Police Department, Sergeant Frank spent five years as a Juvenile Corrections Officer with the St. Clair County Juvenile Detention Center. In his spare time, Jason enjoys camping and traveling with his wife and three daughters.
