The Special Response Team is a part-time tactical team comprised of officers from the Belleville Police Department, St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, Millstadt Police Department, and Swansea Police Department.
The Special Response Team conducts semi-monthly training in firearms proficiency, tactical operations and communications, less lethal munitions, hostage response training, search warrant service and execution, defensive tactics, response to barricaded subjects, and proficient use of surveillance robots and the Bearcat Armored Vehicle. The Special Response Team works closely with the St. Clair County Drug Tactical Unit in response to search warrants associated with narcotics and other drug investigations.
